RCMP selects Panasonic Canada Inc.’s IP surveillance technology for the 2010 Vancouver Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) have selected two models of Panasonic IP surveillance cameras for indoor and outdoor competition venues and other Olympic facilities for the 2010 Vancouver Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.

Panasonic’s technology is intended to be used in conjunction with other security technology to secure official Olympic sites and sporting venues.

"Panasonic security products have been used by the RCMP in many high-profile rapid and temporary deployments,” said Jim Brown, Director, Professional Imaging and Display Solutions, Panasonic Canada Inc. “Our surveillance cameras provide them with the reliability and high-quality IP imaging which will assist in providing the RCMP a bird’s eye view of the Olympic sites.”
