Secura Key has announced a new Wireless Network Module that it says replaces expensive outboard network adapters, eliminating the requirement for an additional enclosure, cabling and a power supply.
The SK-WLS MOD for 802.11b/g, which allows Secura Key’s SK-ACP 2-door access control panel to connect to a Local Area Network to monitor and control an access control system, plugs directly into the SK-ACP panel (Revision N or later) and receives its power from the panel. To enable access to a local network, the module integrates a fully developed TCP/IP network stack and operating system. The module can be configured remotely over the network and can be located using the software provided with any 802.11b/g wireless router.

It includes power and status LEDs, and an antenna mounted on the access control panel enclosure.
