Brady Worldwide, Inc. has announced the launch of the new BMP 71 Label Printer. With more than 400 different label options and speed, it is a multi-functional labeling tool for multiple applications and industries.
The BMP 71 Label Printer packs the print precision and versatility of a large, desktop printer into a compact, portable printer that can be carried on the jobsite. It can print on more than 30 different types of label materials, including self-laminating sleeves and flag labels, indoor/outdoor vinyl up to 2” wide, polyester die-cut labels, raised panel labels and more. The labeler can create more than 400 different label parts, giving users an impressive variety of label types, sizes and colors to choose from.
With such a wide selection of labels, the BMP 71 labeler offers the flexibility to create workplace safety labels, wire and cable markers, patch panel labels, pipe markers, visual workplace labels, barcode labels and facility identification labels – all with one printer.
Designed to create labels faster and easier, the BMP 71 Label Printer offers several new features that save time throughout the label creation process, including label design wizards for electrical, voice/data comm and safety/general ID applications. With step-by-step instructions and easy-to-use templates, these design wizards give users a convenient shortcut for creating the most popular labels in those industries.
The labeler features material-recognition technology, which automatically formats a print job according to the inserted cartridge. There are hundreds of advanced symbols and graphics available, and storage space to save more than 100,000 label files. Combined with a print speed of 1.5” per second, these new features allow users to design and print labels in half the time.
The BMP 71 labeler is also available with Brady’s LabelMark Label Design Software and MarkWare Software for expanded label design capabilities. LabelMark Label Design Software is completely integrated with Microsoft Office and AutoCAD applications, and is recommended for use with the BMP 71 printer for asset identification, component marking, voice/data comm labeling and wire marking, among other applications.
The BMP 71 Label Printer features a large, full-colour graphical screen that shows a full-scale image of the label as it is being created. With this screen, users can see exactly what their label will look like as they create it – eliminating the need to create multiple “test labels.” By printing labels correctly on the first attempt, users can save time and money by reducing a significant amount of label material waste.
In addition to the label preview, the screen also displays a variety of other useful information, including media and battery status indicators and material and ribbon part numbers. Users can see the label color and size, as well as application templates, font size, bold and other type functions.
